I want to have the below pic edited so the boat is in its original colour but the everything else in b/w.
Do I need a particular app for this?
Need to be as high res as possible as I want it making into a large wall hung photo.
Cheers

I'll do it for you. Five minutes of work at most. Please message me a link to the original.

Much appreciated

When you say link, someone else took the picture for me (I believe on an iPhone...) and sent it via WhatsApp so all I have is that picture in my album.

I played about with the contrast / saturation etc as I want the b&w quite dramatic.
Was then going to send it to Truprint for an A3 print.

At that size you are going to want all the pixels you can get, unless it is only going to be viewed from some distance away.

Best to get the original iPhone image if you can, that gives you the best chance of processing to get the quality you want.

Be interested to see the end result. I think the boat is too small in the context of everything else for the approach to work - but happy to be proven wrong.

My thoughts exactly. Not enough colour in the boat for it to really pop

What it boils down to is that that image is NFG for the OP's intended purpose. To add to all the other problems there's even a piece of vegetation obstructing the boat.

Can see your point.

It’s a shame the picture wasn’t taken later as the crew wear bright red kit - this was taken on the way up to the start line with their warm kit on.

For £6 I might just order an A3 print and see how it comes out.
It’ll be behind glass and hung on a wall, so not worried about it being 109% sharp.

Cheers all for advice.
