Audi Advanced key - how safe?

So locally we have had a series of cars being opened remotely, they are stealing spare change and anything else they can get their filthy hands on.. So my question is given very recent press, how safe is the Audi Advanced key? Given I have a 2018 car have Audi updated it, made it more secure? I assume thieves are able to get into anything these days, as long as they can get a broadcast off your key?

I have seen some owners online fit ghost systems, which can disable the car, unless you know a secret combination, however what stops people getting in the first place?
