I know this question has been asked a lot but I never seem to find a definitive answer...how many 991 Gt3's produced in RHD?

332 991.1 GT3s. All winged PDK. Some CS. Some buckets. Some comfort.

Under 600 991.2 GT3s. But more importantly are the numbers relating to each particular model. Winged. Clubsport. Buckets. Comfort. Touring. PDK. 'Manuel.'

Also it is worth pointing out many are poorly specced.

So as ever, relatively few proper spec cars out there.

Cheers that helps.

634 UK cars according to the DVLA registration figures.

380 manual and 254 PDK according to the same source.

Are those the figures that howmanyleft use ? No way they’re correct.

They are showing

PDK 2017 88 cars 2018 166 cars

Manual 2017 193 cars 2018 197 cars

Given the manual gearbox only came into production in IIRS Sep 2017 with the PDK bein* built from July 2017 there’s no way production of the manual was 200% of the PDK car in that year.

I am guessing the cock up is because they didn’t differentiate properly because both cars were not in production from day one.

They are source figures from the DVLA for newly registered cars. There may be mis-recorded cars, but you'll never know for sure.

I'd take DVLA's figures over anyone else's.

as above we have been talked about this before and you could not buy manuals for ages, so the figures are totally wrong , but total numbers prob right.

I was told only about 50 or so manual CS as an example.

I would eat my hat if there are more manuals than PDK as my OPC from 15 or 16 cars only sold 2 Manuals.
1st batch were all PDK any way ! so circa 245 PDK's before we even start on the 2nd batch orders !

I would say the splits more like 244 manuals inc the 60 odd T's and 400 PDK. but then I still think that's too many manuals for the UK vs what 3 OPC orders I know.

Based on that logic, you can probably always lower the manual and increase the PDK numbers for all models.

In that case my car just got rarer, which is nice.

based on the 1st batch = no manuals ! so no logic needed, lol you cannot tell me in 2017 they only made 88 PDKs when you could not order a manual.

any way , it's a bit, who cares, just odd it's so wrong this time.

I would est even less than 150 manuals my self if you take the T out the figures.

You can't say that dealers mis-registered one model and not any others - I suspect that's unlikely as the registration process should be the same for all cars.

Looking at previous years or recent RS models, where only PDK was available, no more than 10 cars per quarter were mis-registered. Maybe the numbers aren't as far out as you think.

but in the 1st batch of cars you could not order a Manual or an T, that's just about 1/2 the amount of cars sold ! although as we know batch 2 got bigger and bigger.

so to say 88 only were PDK cannot be right in 2017 when that's all you could order ! but then 2017 manuals were 193 !!! just not possable

I don't think it's a dealer mis-registering a car, it's just a mistake some where but quite a big one.

It is very rare I see a Manual car and I am a member of SCD and even the owner said, it's one of the only ones in the club. Hence there might be a feature on my cars in SCD soon :-) talking about manuals and why I only buy them.

Not everyone joins owners clubs, reads forums or goes to car shows though. There are thousands of mk3 Focus RSs like Mrs Twinfan's out there and I never see that many knocking about.

Using the previously seen maximum of 10 cars per quarter mis-registered, that would give 340 manual versus 294 PDK. I'd like to a hear a viable reason why DVLAs figures may be widely out.

You absolutely won't know for sure but my logic that those numbers are wrong are based on the following

- How many cars my OPC delivered and the split of manual to PDK's (it was more PDK's). Small sample size but I think several people on here reported the same. Certainly nobody has ever said their OPC delivered more Manual cars.

- The fact that since the day these cars have been for sale secondhand that there have never been more Manual than PDK gearbox cars.

The latter one is the strongest argument in my mind....it's very, very unlikely that there are always more PDK cars for sale than Manual but Porsche GB delivered more Manual cars.

We can't prove it though as Porsche GB won't release the info. Although I believe Porsche AG have said that the take up was less than 50% in Europe for the manual car.

because Porsche UK sold about >250 cars in batch one, and YOU COULD NOT ORDER A MANUAL OR A T ! and that has nothing to do with owners clubs and Focus's !

I agree it looks odd, and it would be great to get a reason why DVLA have the numbers they do, but I suspect we'll never know. The total is probably correct though, roughly the same number of 991.2 GT3s as 981 GT4s - i.e. a lot.

FWIW both Manuals and PDKs came through to my OPC at the same time for the first batch ie October and November 2017..Which means that both boxes were delivered to all OPCs in the first batch..Fokker had his Manual GT3 delivered at Bolton in October 2017..
OTOH my OPC delivered less Manuals than PDKs unless you include the three Tourings they had in the second batch which evened things up..If you include Tourings i'm pretty sure the majority of my OPCs delivered GT3s in the second batch were Manuals and in contrast mostly PDKs in the first batch..
Make of this what you will..
