I've promised my son this for a while after he did well in some key exams and now is the time to start investigating. My father purchased (what we thought was) a decent steering wheel a few years back but it didn't offer very realistic behaviour once the car was oversteering on Forza 5. Maybe we hadn't configured it correctly.

This could be an option but doesn't appear to support a gearlever.

and maybe this for the wheel

Any tips appreciated

I'd recommend getting a Playseat Challenge instead.

A friend of mine has a seat similar to the link you posted and it is really uncomfortable. The challenge may look like a glorified deck chair but, I have put over 100 hours of use on mine and cannot recommend it highly enough at that price.

Thrustmaster do a good range of wheels (I have a T300 RS). It depends on your budget and how much you intend to use it. It can become quite an expensive hobby if you let it hehe
