I have been looking for a Griff for a few months and found I liked but it has had 7 previous owners.
Its a 93 car but even so I thought that was quite high for its year.
I'd be happier with a car thats had the same owner for a few years who's looked after it etc etc.
What are the general thought please.

Cheers

My first Chim (93) had 5 previous, and my last S Series had 10 previous. It doesn't really bother me as long as the car is in good condition, has a good service history and has been well looked after.. some people buy these cars and just don't get on with them, so sell them soon.

Saying that though, some buyers are put off by lots of owners so you will be limiting your re-sale potential slightly.. as long as its refelcted in the sale price then I guess you'd get away with it, therefore ensure its reflected in any purchase price.

Cheers
Matt.

Buy on condition and service history. Loads of high performance marques change hands frequently over the years and its nothing to be concerned about IMHO.

My last Griff' had 5 previous owners and is now on its 7th, its a great car tho.

Would you prefer 7 good previous owners or 1 bad one. Price and condition more important!

Thanks for all the advice, the cars sold to someone else now, never mind plenty more to look at.

1st owner was a company (director's car).
2nd owner was the director himself who bought the car from the business after 12 months.
3rd owner was his brother, who he sold the car to six months later when he wasn't getting any chance to drive it. He sells to his son 18 months later.
Son sells car 2 years later, trading it in for a newer model.
Next 3 owners sell after 2 years of fun each

That's 7 owners in 11 years, no problem at all. Condition is everything.
