Early speculation: Predictions for 992RS??
Discussion
I have my name down for the above to add to my existing 991 and 997 RS. Obviously this is based on the release of the 992 which looks like a decent improvement on the 992 equivalent model.Specifically the GT3RS
At this stage I have no particular information; am assuming PDK, more HP, possibly more lightweight materials.
Does anyone care to predict next car? What innovations?
. ( yes, yes, not a '73RS, too heavy, no longer a driver's car etc- but I like my 991 RS just fine so have gotten all that comment).

900 would be the 2RS 4.0 twin turbo plus electric must be somewhere near there! we are already at 720 with no electric and the 992 is
ready for it.
Wondering if the 992-3RS would be hybrid .I suspect turbo for sure, but no idea..still not a hybrid fan, bit of a dinosaur I suppose.ready for it.

Taffy posted an interesting update on the 991.2 GT3 RS “second batch” saying he’d heard that Porsche are having issues making GPF work with the NASP engine. That presumably has implication for 992 GT cars.
Agree. 3RS will more than likely be NA with Hybrid tech which i can see being awesome and actually we probably wouldn't even tell the difference, possibly displacement decrease? maybe? either way, i am very excited for whats to come, 992 GT3 will be awesome can you imagine what the 3RS will look like!!
Total change of motor, Taycan... now that will be a game changer, not sure its a bit of me, i like the pure NA sound but 600bhp electric crikey!
Question is, do i bite the bullet and give the nod to my CP that i would like one?

The massive elephant in the room regarding any future NA Porsche 992 GT3 and 991.2 GT3 RS second batch will be the GPF effect IMO.
The non EU cars which don't have to have a GPF fitted will have a headstart..I just hope that they don't introduce two different power variants depending on being a WLTP market or not.

I can't believe that the wing will even slightly resemble the ghastly one in the pic.https://www.motor1.com/news/303732/porsche-911-gt3...

IMO emmissions 6B will not pose any real threat to improved outputs for the 992 GTX 4.0L unit. Like always, Porsche will have this sorted out (if they have not already). If Alfa can pull it off with the latest production Giulia QV's without affecting performance (on paper at least) Im sure PAG are more than up to the task.
My guess for the 992.1 GT3 is a small bump in power and torque (think 20bhp and 9lbft), a wider track with revised pick up points/ suspension and a new Michelin/Pirelli tyre, revised aero and use of composites for hood and roof. Im thining weight will run similar at 1430kg with 7spd PDK.
I expect to see a big improvement asthetically with a meaningful Ring lap time improvement...

This is why I believe the benefits will be had in the chassis, aero and tyre tech like the last sub generational leap. Thay wider stance with a better tyre and PASM will yield better lap results, as long as they can address aero. I think we will see the NACA ducts for the brakes AKA GT2/3RS also as standard and a move to more composites to offset weight of increased bodywork.
Good point regards 6B for NA engines. I didnt realise that posed further challenges. they will solve the problem. they always do. One thing is for sure they will make even more of them than the 991.2 (a lot!).
