ECU plug?

Hello all,
I have a 2001 cerb 4.5, now does anyone know what the three pin male connector is called,( the one you plug a laptop into)
I have the software and cable from MBE, but it has the wrong end on it. I could cut into the existing cable (car) and make a threeway block up, though do not fancy it realy.
Any help appreciated.

The software from MBE won't work The TVR is not a standard MBE 941.

It got chewed to stop us playing directly with it.

I was at the dealers on saturday, and he was using the MBE software while plugged into my cerb,
Now the MBE chaps have also said,"we have to tell you that it will not work on TVR" The impression I got from this is it does and will work, though they can not advise you to do it.

The dealers have their own software and don't use the MBE stuff.

Did the software you saw have a picture of a Cerb in the background?

No, it was the MBE stuff for sure, I have the same software and the screens where the same.
I know the mech there so asked and was told "it's the MBE stuff"
I also have the TVR one , and can say for sure that is not what was being used.

you have a choice of lead with tvr ecu's, a nine pin serial connector straight onto the ecu pcb or a 3 pin connector in the ecu loom, they both do the same thing. the 3 pin one has the same connector as a tuscan window encoder ( must be plenty of duff ones of those around you can cut the plug off) it's quite easy to make the lead to suit your car, i can't remeber the pins you need to use from the 9-pin to wire up the 3-pin but if someone else does'nt post then i'll dig them out.

The standard MBE stuff does not work, or at least didn't when I tried it. I would be very interested in the config file for yours if you have a working system.

I doubt there is too much difference between easimap and the TVR dealer version. Most likely config files and maybe data dictionary to read data from the ecu in a different format. Mapping might be hard coded out. A lot of programmers like to take shortcuts
