I’ve been told I have 6-12 months before my standard exhaust needs replacement
I’m thinking about a switchable sport exhaust
Its looking like either a top gear switchable sport exhaust but wondered if anyone had an original Porsche switchable sport exhaust fitted ?
is there any gains putting one on a 2.7 ?

I'm heading over to Belgium in a couple of weeks to have the carnewal GT exhaust fitted on my 2.7 981 Boxster. Heard really good things about the mod.

Get yourself an aftermarket one. PSE is great.. but aftermarkets are better.

I’m almost turning to a switchable valve top gear exhaust

I've got the Carnewal GT and it's perfect. I daily the car and it's fine for me. Not seen anyone online with a GT exhaust not love it.

I'm almost ready to get a sports exhaust on my 987.2, was trying to decide between Remus and Milltek but now I'm looking at the Top Gear one too. I've had a powerflow exhaust before and it was fine so £1k for a switchable one seems like good value. Damn, I'd almost decided on Remus...

Fitted a few top gear exhausts to 911s and boxsters! They’re quite popular, do sound good but I would expect much noticeable power gains without a remap. Do stay away from the dansk exhausts. They’re not electronically controllable but I’ve removed some dansk ones from customer cars and they’ve warped so badly it looks like the car has been in a collision. Obviously without the body damage

You won’t regret it smile

I’ve got PSE now on a different car but still miss the sound of Carnewal exhaust on my 2.7 987.

Carnewal also sell a brand new already modified Cayman R exhaust, it makes a lovely noise.

I’ve just had the DesignTek valvetronic exhaust fitted to my 987S and absolutely love it. Makes a fantastic noise with the valves open and droneless cruising with them closed.

Had it fitted by Matt at PorschaCare who commented on what a lovely bit of kit it was.

Where are you based? If you’re local to me and want to hear what it’s like let me know.
