Hi all

Just thought I would tap into the oracle of TVR knowledge and see if anyone can shed some (stable) light on a slight problem that I have with my new (to me) Griff 500. When evening arrives and I have to turn the headlamps on they seem to pulse in time with all other electrical equipment, irrespective of engine speed, any ideas?

Cheers

yup - i would agree with the bad earthing answer. probably have to check and clean all the earthing points, because it is bound to be the last one that causes the problem!

is it when the fans cut in? if so up rate altenator
if not it's probably the altenator regulator pack anyway. doddle for auto elec.
does the amp meter dip too? if so by how much?

I have the same problem. Started at exactly the same time as my voltmeter started showing 15 volts instead of 13-14ish.

Suspect cooked diode pack in the alternator leading to new alternator at earliest opportunity.
