Expanding website design/hosting business

As some of you may know, I build/manage websites for small businesses. Mostly on WordPress. I also host most of these on my own cloud server. The income is nothing to shout about as I manage this around my full time job. I'd like to start exploring the idea of increasing this.

Although the market is saturated I've picked up a fair few customers including members on here where I have created, host and manage their websites.

I don't want it turning into a huge thing though where I lose that personal approach as I feel that is what my customers love.

Any pointers for expanding? I've tried Google and Facebook Ad's and didn't really get any business form them, although it may have been my advert that was the problem.

Join a BNI group.

Generally, every chapter has a web designer. You should be able to find a breakfast group which shouldn't interfere with your normal job.


I'm in one and as long as you can get your head around it and its foibles you will pick up some good business.
