Had a great run this weekend up to the coast. I can thoroughly recommend the B1108 up by Watton. Fantastic sweeping corners and a fairly good surface.

Any other recommendations ?

Also had a near religious experience; while driving near Fakenham on fuel vapour, I turned to my passenger and said 'what we need now is a Shell garage, doubt we'll get one around here though', went round a bend 30 seconds later and behold, a Shell garage full of lovely Optimax!

Top day.

So you managed to get over here eventually then! You missed the "Bucket and spade raid" by about a month! Will you be able to make the Flying Fortress in Bury St Edmunds on the 29th May?

That Shell garage is indeed like an oasis on the Fakenham roundabout, I know the one you mean!

Punctuality has always been a problem Yes, I do intend to come over on the 29th and say hello. I haven't managed the last few for various reasons but this time I'll try my best.

Can you guarantee a good pie ?

Hi Scared,
Are you anywhere near Lowestoft then, see you mentioned the Kessingland bypass, so thought you might be local.

i used to live over in hopton-on-sea (norfolk/suffolk boarder). I know kessingland A12 and i know wot u mean!!!
the A12 dual carriage way from gt yarmouth to lowestoft (more precisely gorleston to corton long lane) is a gr8 stretch! had my parents V6 Freelander down there racing 5 boy racers and i absolutely anhilated them!! (boy racer cars were a ford orion, ford sierra, vauxhall astra, seat ibiza, and an old skool bmw 318)

A47 dual carriage way from Brundle round a bout to Easton round a bout (over 10 miles or dual carriage way)

A47 dual carriage at Kings Lynn (about 8 miles)

Great for high speed runs but wud only ever do in the right conditions.

I know wot u mean about the Norwich to watton road. i live in shipdham and if i fancy some nice bends ill go the long way to norwich! great fun

I think that piece of road was partly used in one of my videos!

Have a look at "Neils Griffith" (cut version) 7.7mb wmv on the video page of my website www.foxesmeadow.com

Re the B1108 best bit is from the Southern bypass roundabout to where the B1108 hits the Fakenham to Thetford Road.

Use your mirrors on a sunday morning throu because mad bikers like using it as a race track.

B1145 - those Romans sure knew how to make roads! Have to drive it at night this time of year unfortunatly due to overgrown verges on the twisty bits.

A1067 Fakenham - Norwich road, again have to drive at night this time of year due to the amount of traffic on the roads. Word of warning though - if you drive a modified car and a pair of bright lights sits right up your arse, don't try and race it as coppers do this a lot.

A1065 Fakenham - Swaffham road can be fun with its sweeping bends and several overtaking spots, but I think it's one of the top 10 dangerous roads in the country due to tight bends in woods. The biggest downside to this road is the start at end points being complete dumps.

Added to the list for the weekend (assuming the rain stays away)
