Hi Guys,

I'm quite an infrequent visitor here, but I'm starting to get interested in the Cerbera as a toy to possible replace my Lotus Exige S1 which I've had for 8 years. To help me make the decision, I wonder if there are any Lincolnshire Cerbera owners, who'd be generous enough to come and let me look at their car, have a sit in it (to see if I fit,as I have a long back and large feet), and to just generally chat about the ownership experience.

I work odd shifts so I can be available pretty much any time.

Thank you,
Kurt

Kurt, engine is going back in mine this weekend. I'm based near Heckington.

Also, any chance you're ex Sentinel? I'm Will, 1 of the old JEngOs that was around in 2013ish. Feel free to email me.

I know of a guy who lives in the western edge of Lincoln, about 800 yards from MacDonalds, who is a Cerb owner and enthusiast. He is one of the organisers of Cerbfest, and is ex-RAF (but don't hold that against him, he is as mad as all you lot and friendly too).

No, his name is Darren, but I don't know if he is on PH.

I’m ex RAF too, and live about 7 minutes walk from the Cathedral. Will hasn’t come back to me yet, would you be willing to share Darrens contact details?

I’m really hoping I fit!

Thanks in advance.

Kurt, I will ask him and then email you.

I have a friend who owns and fits in a Chimaera.
He is looking for a Cerbera and just went to try one, and found that, at 6 ft 3in, he was about 2in too tall for it.
It was a 1990s car - he thinks that TVR redesigned the body (the car's not his) to accommodate the taller driver in about 2000.

Chimera's have the battery in the passenger footwell, restricting leg room, unless it's been relocated to the boot. Something to consider. I sat a friends tall wife in the Cerbera and she was amazed at the space she had, which forced her hubby to relocate the battery in his Chim to the boot for our next trip.

The Cerbera is pretty good for tall people, adjustable steering column, adjustable pedals, or aftermarket adjustable ones (leven?)
For us shorties it's a struggle. I have to have the seat right forward although that used to be good for the kids sitting behind.

Hi Kurt,

You are more than welcome to come and sit in mine, after April, I'll take to out in it. Happy to chat for hours and tell you all I know. I think I've had mine nearly 7 years and do all my own work and as QBee says, help organise Cerbfest every year. Drop me a PM and we'll arrange something

Hi I am up at Cadwell Park on Sat 23rd March, you are more than welcome to hop in mine and see if it fits and then hop in for some pax laps if you want.

I am also ex-RAF, 6'2' tall and fit fine, the seat could go back a few more inches if I wanted it to. Every thing is adjustable in a cerb, peddles and steering as well as obviously the seat, Jeremy Clarkson is 6'5" or more and he fits OK.

QBee are you joining us at Cadwell, it is an MSV day?

Kurt's email is 1 he keeps solely for PH use, as I found out after he'd not replied to me for a day or so. He did come round last Saturday just before we started fitting my new engine. I gave Kurt a comprehensive list of all the fixes I've done on my (admittedly cheap to buy) Cerbera and he didn't run screaming. Overall I advised that theees no such thing as a cheap Cerb, they're either cheap to buy and need work, or expensive because they've had the work done. I'm sure he'll appreciate ownership stories from people who bought cars around 20k+ vs mine that was less than 12k.
