Santander lease and servicing

I have a lease through Santander and the T & C state a franchises dealer service, however emailed them and they said any garage as long as original parts and VAT registered.

Anyone else done this and handed it back after the lease without penalty.

The garage has access to the Mercedes electronic handbook.

Did you get that in a written reply, ie email from them?

If you did presumably you should be ok.

There have also been cases on here where apparently the penalty for a missing service is less than the cost of the service.

Yeah I think it was 100 + Vat and a written email from Santander

If that's the penalty I would be very tempted
