WHO MAKES THE SPRINGS?
Discussion
Guys I am in the middle of installing a ram pro lift on my new GTR. Because of the length that the hyd cylinder takes up I will need to go to a shorter spring. The current spring as delivered to me is a 400 lb 7.5 inch spring, the cylinder is 2.75 inches in length so I need a 5 inch 400 lb spring which so far I have been unable to source. does anyone know who makes the springs for Ultima is the 400 lbs spring rate consistent with what others are using. sorry for misspelling springs, didn't catch it until I posted and the edit function only works on the body not the title

Maybe spring type and rating depends on what shock option one went with? My shocks are Intrax, but I'd have to go look at the road springs. I'm pretty sure the 400 lb are road and the track springs are 25% higher rating, I do recall they are stamped in Kgf/mm. I cannot remember are the Ultima springs a 2.5" ID?
Your best source might be via Hypercoil or Swift, 4" long would be available for sure as it's a common race size on formula cars. That said do you really still want 400 lbs/in? On a 7" 400 lb spring you have 2,800 lbs of downforce before coil bind, on a 5" spring with same 400 lb rating that is reduced to 2,000 lbs. Lowering springs are typically higher rating even though that will result in a harsher ride.
