I have difficulty winding my Omega Speedmaster - the issue is with my fingers and not the watch...

Is there an attachment I can add to the Crown, to increase the diameter and make it easier to wind?

Thank you

Would a short piece of plastic tube slipped over the crown be enough? Places like B&Q sell various diameters you could try to seeif one fits. Alternatively look at getting a watch winder & store the watch on that overnight (if it's an automatic of course).

Would a watch winder work? I have one for my Rolex when it's not on my wrist

What’s about a rubber thimble?? Simple and cheap!

Length of cloth insulation tape on a table top edge and gently push the watch along it?

Some Speedmasters can be tougher than others to wind, despite the sizable crown - it’s a known quirk.

Being manual-wind only (in the classic ‘Moonwatch’ iteration), that’s a problem you can’t solve with a watch-winder machine.

As already flagged by others, Some sort of rubber thimble for purchase, or one of those tubular winding tools, would work.

But as a simpler measure, have you tried flipping the Speedmaster over for winding? Doing it that way exposes much more of the crown, with the crystal/bezel out of the way, and the much flatter rear of the watch - it allows for greater purchase & easier winding.

You don’t say how old it is or when it was last serviced - tough, gritty winding might indicate time for a service, with dried lubrication and gaskets making it hard work.

Thank you - I am going to give one of these a try!

Same principle as the small diameter plastic pipe suggested, but more durable and requires limited fine motor skills.

I guess it could be that I slide some pipe onto the item in the link and that would be better still?

Many thanks

I think I'm going to fund my next Omega buying these things off eBay and selling them on Amazon....!

I really appreciate you replies - Thank you - The Speedmaster isn't an Automatic, so an over-night winder isn't an option, Ido love my moon-watch and though it might benefit form a service, the problem is more with my fingers than the watch itself.

Just need to find my verynearly callipers and check the crown size before ordering.

Will update once it arrives.

Thanks again.

Those extenders look to be just the job & I doubt there's a reason why you couldn't slip a bit of tube over as well. Of course just be gentle when you're winding as it would be very easy to put too much torque on the crown & you don't want a expensive repair job.
