Best Exhaust Pipe Cleaner

What is the best thing to clean the end of the exhaust pipes with to make sure they remain shiny and new looking mainly to remove the blackness?

Any suggestions one of my mates says Cillit Bang will do it however wanted to check first...

I alway's used Solvo Autosol, comes in a toothpaste size tube, and once complete, give the exhaust a quick going over with a decent wax, AutoGlym or similar, you should be pleased with the results.

I use Autoglym's Metal Polish, which brings them up a treat. I know that Solvol Autosol metal polish is also highly recommended (Big Al. will be along shortly to confirm).

Someone suggested that once polished, Silvo Wadding can be used to help preserve the shiny finish. However, this was in relation to the alloy uprights on the windows, so I'm not sure how this would fare on the zorst...

I tried Cillit Bang on my exhausts and it worked okay. Not brilliant, just okay. They still needed a good dose of elbow grease and metal polish afterwards.

Another vote for Autosol here. Was recommended to me on here to use some fine grade wet 'n' dry first to get rid of any crap that's on the end of the exhausts and then use the Autosol to polish them up afterwards. Worked a flippin treat!!!!

Autoglym alloy wheel cleaner to get the worst off then 2000 grit wet and dry, use it wet then autosol or rubbing compound

Go to halfords and buy yourself a "race stylée" bolt on exhaust. Then you can have a small boy inserted up it with a brush.

It's a 60% solution of Hydrochloric Acid! Not to be used where you have any uncertainty of being able to rinse it all away....

HCl plus Alloys plus 24 hours plus Confined Space = no alloys in the morning plus plenty of Hydrogen plus big bang!!!
