Standard glass one, stuck on underside of dash top above glovebox.

Halford glass one, stuck in lower left corner (passenger) of glass, with cable disappearing under side of dash. Don't forget to earth the copper part of the antenna with a seperate wire, as there is no metal to stick it onto.

Works wonderfully.

Oh forgot, mine did not need earthing either which could have been an issue on a non metal car.

That's odd, all glass ones I've seen have a copper self adhesive strip at the base that is supposed to be stuck to the door pillar metal. I'm guessing yours had an earth further down in the cable ?

Yeah, the last one I fitted (on the windscreen of my Transit) had such a strip but the one I fitted to my Chim some years ago (inside the passenger door skin) didn't. It worked pretty well.

From memory as you describe, I wired up and plugged the aerial in and it worked. There are some around that do not need earthing. https://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/connects2-ct27uv70...

Any that's cool. Uses the radios earth and power. Mine uses the radio power (software option in the head unit) but has a separate earth.
