Hi all,

Looking at buying a 435i GC (2015, 26.5k mi) and the dealer has sent this pic of the SH:

Vehicle was first registered in Nov 2015.

Is it normal to not get it serviced for 2yrs? I thought these cars needed a "running in service" at 1200mi? Or is it just CBS (apprise every 2yrs/20k mi?) that tells you when to get it done?

Is it true that only a main dealer can update the idrive system to show when the services have been completed? (Therefore confirming that these have been done at a MD?)

Sorry for the noob questions! My last BMW was a slightly older E85! Significantly less fancy tech inside that one...

No running in service for the car, only M models have a running in service, standard service is CBS or every 2 years.

Main dealers and garages that have subscribed to BMW system can update iDrive with history.
I think most garages can reset after a service i.e. to kick CBS calculations until next service.
