What's a good donor for wipers, linkages and a motor? I need something that's easy to butcher for width across the car, and has the 'park' mechanism included (so not a separate switch).

I gather lots of systems these days use cables of some sort rather than good old fasioned linkage rods, and not sure how these work when making the distance between the wipers wider or narrower.

bought a lot of stuff from SVC myself, good place to buy from, but if you're looking for used then a mini system is easy to alter to suit your needs, plenty about also.

Land Rover Series use the same Lucas system as well.

Thanks for that. I didn't realise you could get the mechanism made up to suit. That'll save a fair amount of frigging about then

If you want a single arm wiper, the Citroen BX (or AX) is a nice easy to fit option.
