yet another what car thread, so please bear with me
Current fleet consists of a daily driver 2015 Seat leon FR 184 tdi
Weekend toy Westfield dunnel powered zetec seiw 188bhp , wide track, type 9 with long first, antiroll bars ect ect that I finished putting a new body on last year and is fully sorted but more track than road
Driving is a 15 mile each way B-road commute on traffic free roads, that are nice in summer but filthy and covered in mud and debris in the winter months, I work shifts so only get to use the Westfield 1 week in 3 in the summer due to not enjoying driving it in the dark.
So happy with the current fleet but due to a change in jobs I get the chance for very cheap company car that will be as dull as dishwater but will cost me £75 a month all in so really is a no brainer compared to the seats running costs

I have a single Garage that fits the Westfield plus all my tools and a couple of the kids bikes that get moved around if I need to work on the car, So decided that the Westfield might have to go along with the seat and that I fancy something different for the weekends and the nice summer days but that ideally I can fit into my garage or leave out side for six months of the year and put away for winter if is a bit of a tight fit
Budget 5 to 18k , insurance and MPG not a issue , tax I would like to keep down to less than 300 a year but only envisage that it will be on the road for six months of the year, would like 4 seats and minimal depreciation or borke factor as although I have a reasonable budget I am by no means rich and have to watch the penny’s at times , mileage I would expect 3k a year max,
Ideas so far BMW 3 series convertible 3lt 335 or1 series convertible 135 as fancy the 300bhp six cylinder
Toyota GT 86 although this leaves the kids at home
Or potentially a classic but I would want a minter rather projects as I want to send time driving an going out rather than swearing in the garage
I would like rust free and reasonable performance, but I guess depreciation, fitting in the garage and borkfactor are the largest concerns

Any more ideas welcome

thanks
Alan

thanks for the reply's the Alfa could tempt me and is certainly good looking but the Maserati would scare me with the potential for huge bills and all the cars are in the 500 plus road tax bracket and are perhaps a bit to special for my shallow pockets , keep the ideas coming tho , Italian is probably not the way i will go

How about a Porsche of some sort? Boxster, Cayman, 996 all come in that price category or 944 if you go the classic route.
