Mercedes GLC (not coupe!) PCP question...
Discussion
Hi all, we've been looking at a new car for Mrs Iroc thanks for MB offering a 'special offer weekend' and after a fair bit of too'ing and fro'ing (would a GLA/Q3/3008/etc do the job? Boot too small for what we want) we've come to the conclusion that a GLC seems to cover nearly everything we want. The 3 things 'wrong' with the model offered are: it's white or black, no memory seats and no sunroof. In fairness the memory seats are more of a pain than the roof (climate control is damn near perfect on our current c-class) but it's not insurmountable.
The GLC comes as the 'urban' edition which seems to chuck a fair amount of kit on for not a lot extra and the added advantage is it's not the coupe version. The only thing we're stuck on is the finance (ain't that always the case?
), the dealer is offering us £292 pm, 10k p/a over 36 with £5,000 from us plus £2,400 equity in the c-class.
On the face of it it sounds like a good deal just curious on any thoughts about the GLC as a car, the deal and anything in-between....

You can get the same car on a lease for about £2000 less over 3 years https://leasing.com/personal/car-leasing/mercedes-...

It’s about to be refreshed, it’s tired compared to Tiguan and q3 The GLC comes as the 'urban' edition which seems to chuck a fair amount of kit on for not a lot extra and the added advantage is it's not the coupe version. The only thing we're stuck on is the finance (ain't that always the case?

The value will take also take a battering after a facelifted model comes out with a whole new look and the dramatic change in the interior with new bigger screens, every time, the reason I stay away from Mercs, they become dated within 3 years.
The deal does sound good to me considering the car and the kit even though it’s getting on a bit, 5 grand plus 292 is a lot compared to a leasing company but it’s quite cheap to be buying from a main dealer. I’d pay the premium instead of emailing 10 different leasing companies simultaneously trying to find the best deal and filling out 10 proposal forms. Then get sent the forms, sign them then send it back.

This. Although it definitely needs a refresh from an interior perspective the new model is likely to cost at least another £100 a month when it launches and you'll then likely have to start speccing premium or premium+ to get all the nice new bits at another £50-100 a month on top. Thanks for all the feedback, appreciated.
I do take the point about new model/facelift on the way - however if you hold off buying something because the facelift/new model etc has been announced you'll never end up buying.
I agree that the e-pace is a nice bit of kit, problem was that the boot seemed shorter than the GLC, there were none available until mid-may (not a massive issue TBF) and the finance wasn't as good for us.
The GLC had another advantage for Mrs Iroc - current car is a c-class coupe so the controls are totally familiar.
In the end we bungled a couple more grand in and got the AMG line version with premium+ pack and 'night pack' appearance package.
