Cruise Control Dissappeared

I drove my 981C yesterday, after a 2 or 3 week break - it's been on the Cytek battery manager and started easily.
However, the icon for the Cruise Control (standard one) failed to appear on the RH screen, and the lever was inoperable.
Any ideas? I filled-up with fuel and so the car has had several ignition on.off cycles...

Mine stopped working last year for some unknown reason. I had a lot of work done at an INDI at the time so maybe it was related to that.
Anyway, a quick trip to my local INDI and they stuck piwis on and the option for Cruise was turned off. They turned it back on and its been fine ever since. Took them 5 mins!

... this time last year the car forgot the optional immobiliser / tracker was made n/a... and OPC couldn't start it to do the service... took a couple of weeks to fully solve.
I guess owning non-Porsche all my life has lulled me into a false sense of car-invincibility....

Loss of memory or features is often caused by low battery voltage. This applies across all brands, not just Porsche.
The classic is for the car to on your drive or at the dealership with door open and radio on. Modern stereos draw significant current and the interior lights are on as well. At the end of the job the battery still has enough grunt to start the car but during the crank cycle voltage drops too low to run the electronics properly - and computer glitches arrive!
Look after that battery. Just because it can start the car doesn't mean it's necessarily in good health - even when kept on a tender.
(Yes I know a car shuts accessories down after 15 minutes or so but what do we do? Yup. Turn it off and on again.....)
