Hi just joined today and here is my first post.I thought I would let you all know what I have done to my 2009 S Drive 23i which I have owned for three and half years now.I replaced the rear light clusters as they were not as clear as they should be,when removed I noticed that the seal has gone so damp had got into the lens, much better now with bright new ones.Replaced side indicator repeaters with the chrome ones that are on the newer E89's and what a difference. So easy to replace.More recently I have had 4 new Yokohamas fitted. Then I had the induction clean and this has increased the power quite noticeably, drives like new again.I then had the roof module fitted ,the one from Advanced in car tech ( Tim Borill) this allows you to operate the roof whilst in motion at low speeds and also several other options and well worth it,like being able to close and open the roof with the key fob remotely .My final mod was to have stainless steel exhaust upgrade with quad pipes and to allow the new set of pipes they cut the rear body work to match the existing cut out and you would never know it had been done.Perfect job and what a difference to the sound and look of the rear end.Just one more thing I changed the aerial to a stubby, much neater than the longer one.Change the colour of all the badges to red and black with carbon fibre. So that is my Z4 E89 looking just how I wanted it.

Sounds good upgrades. I've a 2,31 and have considered changing the front wing emblem to the later chrome one . Any photos?

It sounds like you have been getting your E89 how you want it, which is great! thumbup

But a Z4 really should have a whippy aerial! If you head over to the z4forum as suggested it's one of the topics that runs forever. laugh

Hi been out this morning with the roof down as always, why have a sports car and not have the roof down,as long as you are warm who cares. The sound from those quad pipes is awesome, money well spent as far as I am concerned. My car had done 38k when I bought it in Manchester 2015,went up on the train and drove it back to Southend.Mileage now on 53k.I have an ex BMW mechanic who looks after it for me.The only problem I have with the car is the damn seat belt which is making a black mark on my Ivory leather seats.Otherwise what a car ,every time I get in it a big smile comes over me.

Hi, clean car you've got! I noticed you mentioned 2 things which I'm also interested in doing to my Z4, the quad exhaust system - can you tell me if you've had any of the back boxes or resonators removed, if so which and how does it sound?

Second of all, you had your rear diffuser cut to make way for the additional exhaust on the right side, could you tell me roughly how much I'd be looking at if I were to do the same and if you have any body shop recommendations to take it to, to complete the works?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks.
