Aldi Rotary Car Polisher

These are on offer at the moment; has anyone bought one?
I'm keen to know if it's any good or just an invitation to paintwork damage!

Buy one quick as you can. At £40 with a 3 year warranty, it’s a no brainer. If it stops working, or turns out to be crap, just take it back and get it replaced or refunded.

I looked at these but wimped out as I’m a noob at these things.

From my amateur point of view, this makes a pretty potent recipe for learning period mishaps:
- 1400 watt
- rotary not DA
- 3000rpm max speed

Cracking price though!

Looks similar to a Silverline.
I personally know of 3 Silverlines where the speed control packs up within a year but they were all used in bodyshops

It's always the controllers, even on more expensive models .

Has anyone actually bought one? My guess is they’ll have very little torque, as soon as you put a bit of pressure on it, it’ll struggle.
Probably fine for applying wax but doubt it’ll be much use for cutting.

As a 'heads up' - a similar rotary polisher is back on offer at Aldi this Sunday (although available to pre-order online with free delivery now).
