BMW 1 series convertible

Hi I am looking to buy a 1 series convertible probably 10-12 plate 120d 174bhp auto. Can anyone give me any pointers on what to look out for in this model? Any issues with the roof mechanism?

My alternative is an A3 but the 1 series seems better spec'd/more easily available with good options.
