Estate cars under 5k

Suggestions for a decent estate under 5k, petrol is preferred but not ruling out diesel.

Want a car that is good for longer distances with plenty of space.

Not being a coont but use the search function - this comes up every week.

Usual contenders are:
- Subaru Legacy H6
- Ford Mondeo Titanium 2.5t
- BMW E61 530 petrol or diesel (or E91 330 Touring if can you can live with the smaller load space)
- A6 Avant best in 3.0 tdi

Cheaper options:
- Older Volvo V70 T5
- SAAB 9-5 (or smaller 9-3) in petrol turbo guise.

Not oft mentioned but decent:
- A4 2.0 TFSI below budget if similar size to 3 Series Touring
- Subaru Forester - quick!
