Mclaren renews engine contract with Ricardo
Discussion
In case the news is of interest, looks like Ricardo will carry on making Mclaren's engines including the future hybrid/electric powertrains.

I'd be surprised if McLaren didn't STILL own the IP 100%, although of course, anything is possible, but why would they sell the IP?
I would guess Ricardo is a partner in the production & future development of the engines only ( I'm not at McLaren anymore so can't say any more than that), as they have been from when they took on the development of the M838T engine. It's a renewed contract, not forever and I could see McLaren eventually bringing engine production in house.
There is much out there written about McLarens engine, whys/hows & wherefores etc. but much of it is just plain wrong
