OK, I may keep the lights, but Silverstone can have the wheels back now, hope they don't mind, just had to try them on!

Love the lights (was it a same day mod or did they need to keep the car?) but the BBS wheels are not my cup o' tea...

Cheers guys , I actually Photoshop'd, (well, Corel-Draw'd actually) the wheel and lights onto my standard car , looks quite effective though, and the lights do look good, but would it affect resale value I wonder???

Corel Draw? I didn't know anybody actually used that software!?! (ex Adobe-ite here, but using Paint Shop Pro at the moment 'cos I can't be arsed to reinstall Photoshop).

Great stuff Chris, Try before you buy! Them lights do look good, but agree about re-sale, i was informed that they are reversable though? Like the BBS wheels as well, but they don't suit the Tam. Spiders rule.

Hilti.

Yep, I use Corel graphics suite 12 for our adverts for the mags (so have got very used to it, I have P/Shop CS, but it takes longer to do.
Maybe Silverstone can do 'digital makeovers', like they do with faces and clothes, and apply them to our cars!! lol

The wheels are a bit Porsche-ish, arn't they, and the Spiders take long enough to clean as it is!!
I assume the wireing on the lights is identical to the standards if it's reversable?

Chris,

Wireing isn't the same. When they said they were reversable they mean't no perminant body mods. Apparently the wiring i quite different, think they alos wire the spots up as fog lights?

Am ahead of you there, my fogs are already wired up as fogs! lol. I can see how that modified Tam may potentially attract Porsche buyers though.

Last time I spoke to Silverstone they told me the lower lights couldn't be wired to be fogs when they do the conversion?

If I decide to give it a go is it a difficult mod or would I need to bring it to a specialist?

Just my 2p... but given two equal cars, I'd take the one with the light conversion... looks great IMHO...

I know, but I can't help thinking, they look cool right here and now, but I also remember everyone loving the Tuscan light conversions on Chims and Griffs, which, for me personally soiled the pure looks of these (already perfectly fantastic looking)icons, and I have no doubt they are much harder to sell; having said that, the light cowling lense isn't changed on the Tam, so the effect is more subtle, and it does look good.

Which is a shame as the converted one wouldn't be equal. It would be £900 more expensive.

I think they look much better in the flesh, but then I havn't got a problem with the current ones. Quite like the retro griff stylee.

The trouble with mods is that you rarely see the value back.. they do however act as an incentive at purchase time..

Any pictures of the car with the headlight conversion and spiders Chris?

I suspect it'll definately look better than standard (and to be fair, if you prefer it to the original you'll definately get the enjoyment out of the new lights/look before you sell/retire it!)

I'll see what I can do later, (My mate's new hard drive just turned up, so I'll be sorting out his PC most of the night )

Anything that gives better illumination than the Tamora standard lights is good for me - the standard headlights are CRAP!

Plus, I think they look absolutely superb, and really modernise the front end look.

Want the Griff look? Buy a Griff!
