Lucas oil stabiliser????

Hi there am going to do a oil change on my 1.8t and then I am going to start modified the engine remap front mount ect thinking about putting some Lucas oil stabiliser in as well has anyone had any experience of it when I was in the us last year they think the stuffs amazing what people thought on it ??

The yanks do seem to love it, and not only bung it in engines but transmissions too. I put it in a knackered low revving 1960s engine that was burning oil. I thought it might thicken the oil up, as it's pretty gloopy stuff. It didn't seem to make any difference, and I've heard of foaming problems, I can't see it increasing longevity and I'd not tempted to use it a modern unit.Edit to add, I also used it to try to quiten a noisy diff, it didn't
I'm using Petronas in my merc, no more noisy tappets on start up. Maybe coincidence, but it seems to work so I'm sticking with it.
