Does anyone know if the chap who was doing the sp6 throttle body refurb for £250 is still doing so?

He used to advertise it on the classifieds.

He used to advertise on Ebay too but not for a while now. I too would be interested if he is up for doing mine.

Yep, must send him mine when I get around to sorting the bottom end (head is sitting in the garage all done and wrapped in foil).

Any rolling element bearing is likely to lose its grease to intake vacuum unless the seal is specifically designed for the job. Also subject to false brinelling at idle even before the grease effs off. Use a plain bearing bush like oilite. I went for Igus H1 as the mutt's nuts. You'll find pics at fb.com/mys6cerbera

The ones Joolz from Kits & Classics has on eBay are a better deal. Fully refurbed with bearings and seals as well as the spindles thinned for a few more horsepower for £450 Ono.
If the other ones have done 43k miles they will be overdue a refurb if they haven’t already had one.

Andy also does - or did - thermal gaskets for the TBs too.

Very happy with my set on Tamy - although without the knife edging done as he was still testing then. Got it done on my second set though biggrin
