Leather Salt Stain Removal
Discussion
I bought some of this for general leather cleaning/protection. Came recommended via the Forensic Detailing Channel on Youtube.

We're about 15 minutes away from Chesterfield, so not too far. Why the aversion to such a process, if it's correct? I would need to inspect initially, but there would likely be a degree of both required. We use the worlds best pigments, the worlds most accurate leather colour reader, and are trusted with many 6 figure £ cars.
Your leather is pigment coated, not dyed. Whatever has caused it/ got in it can not be removed. It is sealed.

Guess I've not seen it done well in the past and I would really want a 100% guarentee that any repair is invisible. I'm very fussy and if it's not right and a repair has been attempted thats not 100%, I have visions of a resulting dogs breakfast after multiple attempts. Bit like a blown in paint repair that ends up as a complete repaint..
I have an out and its a new door panel from BMW, but it will be knocking on the door of £3K fitted.

You are right in as much that there are a lot of people who repair leather badly. This is largely because car dealers want vehicle prep as cheaply as possible, and many do a bolster for £30 as an EG, being a temporary fix. It's not limited to Barry Boys knocking out bangers either. A certain supercar dealer in Swadlincote has only been interested in the bottom line when I've approached him! To see if it could be made invisible I'd need to see it, BUT, I always manage expectations, and if it's only an improvement job I'd say so.
The other option is to re-trim it. I work closely with a company in Leicester called Auto-Trim. Their work is spot on, they have the Ferrari Gray Paul contract, as an example. They use the same Photospectrometres as me, so if they hadn't got the correct shade of leather in they could re-tint it perfectly. They're on 0116 2169920, and it won't be anywhere near a 4 figure bill!
The offer still stands too, I'm happy to take a look at it, no obligation. If you can make me privy to (roughly) which part of Yorkshire you're in, as it's a damn big county, and we don't travel to all of it.

Thanks for that Rob, I'm around 3 mile from Boroughbridge To see if it could be made invisible I'd need to see it, BUT, I always manage expectations, and if it's only an improvement job I'd say so.

AA suggests you're about 70 miles/1 hour 20 away, so a bit far for me to call out, but you're welcome to come to me for me to inspect if you wished.
I've just given Lee at AT a call for you, he's seen the photo. The cost will depend on the leather match, he believes it's a nappa hide. If they have a leather match that you'd both be happy with (grain pattern, feel etc, not colour) then he estimates that the job would be £300+VAT. If they needed to order a new hide from BMW that would likely cost £500 on top. They are stacked out ATM, on around a 2 month lead. Let me know if you need anything more (EG you'd like to pop over for me to inspect)
