Goodwood Festival of Speed
Discussion
You will probably already know, but if you can only attend one Goodwood event, are you aware of the Goodwood Revival ?
The Revival meeting takes place at the Goodwood racing circuit (Festival in the grounds of Goodwood House), and all the cars racing are from the 1960s and earlier. Most spectators attend wearing clothes from the period. A unique annual event in the world, and a wonderful 'stepping back in time' occasion, just like being on a film set.
If you are a gentleman of younger years, then the Festival will perhaps be of more interest, with many of the latest cars taking part.
Enjoy.
liked the Festival of Speed but didn't get round it all even on a quiet day (Thursday) so 2 days minimum. Assume you really need stand tickets to see hill climb course well on a Sat or Sun? And understand they are unnumbered etc so believe you may need to sit there for quite a while.
So would a Friday and Saturday for FoS make most sense for 2 days?

Thank you all for your feedback!
The Revival is on the bucket list as well, and will definitely do it at some point! I travel to the UK 5-6 times per year, so it's probably gonna happen next year!
Regarding the FoS, it's exactly the kind of advise i was looking for. I'm leaning towards making this a 4 day trip, fly in on Thursday, go to the event on Friday and Saturday, and then fly out on Sunday. This will allow for one quiet and one busy day
