I had to take a long drive in last weekend's blustery & wet weather and then left the chimaera out in the rain for two nights (not used to this).
The result was a small pond of water on the left side of the boot! The boot seal looks fine but the left rear light cluster cover seems a bit loose - could rain get in through the perspex light cover?
What is the best way to re-seal it?

If it is a pre 1999 Chimaera with the flat rear number plate, it's more likely to be coming in around the number plate lamp holders. In their wisdom, TVR put them on the bottom of the alcove instead of in the top .They were moved here for the sloping rear number plate.
Here's mine after re-sealing them and checking for leaks:

I added some sticky backed silver foil while I was in there to help the pitiful lamps.

It could of course be around the light cluster, mine does allow a bit of condensation inside but if you've a pool of water in the boot, it's likely to be as I explained.
The sticky foam that holds the number plate on (depending on if yours has this) repels water to a certain extent but not completely. If you park facing up a steep hill, you may not have an issue.
