Leak - busted screen - more leaks
Discussion
A few weeks back I noted that my M400 had water in the fuse box and a quick search of the forum revealed a number of things to check and after a quick word with the dealer and a small amount of silicone later all was well.
Sadly the following week the windscreen was cracked by a rock thrown up by another car, not bad for only 1700 miles! Anyway my insurance company (Marker Study) were very good about it and happily agreed to lash out the £750 odd the dealer wanted for a new one - great I thought no problems with this then!
So it went in last week and had the new one fitted, I reported the previous leak and asked that the car be checked over due to the leak etc. So I used her today and you've probably guessed it already it leaks far worse than before and on both sides!!!
This time is different through, the material behind the roll cage going up the sides of the windscreen is really wet to I’m guessing its coming under the rubber seal on the roof (probably at the corners looking at the rubber) and then running down the sides into the foot wells??? Anyone else had this??
I'm presuming the silicone between the roof & rubber seal should sort this, but grateful for any previous experience?
Rather disappointed with the £800 install from my dealer.....

Mines got chipped after 6000 miles. My insurance company (tesco) organised for me to take it to a local AutoGlass dealer.
They done a superb job. The old one used to creak. The new one doesn't. They also installed it better than before and instead of being able to see the seal they put a felt strip around to hide it.
Unfortunately they gave the cleaning of the car to the apprentice who suitably wrecked the dashboard with a plastic tipped hoover !
AutoGlass admitted liability right away and got it fixed professionally.

I had a leaking screen a year ago and requested it be sorted out just before the first year was up.The dealer contacted the factory only to be told that the windscreen forms an integral part of the cars strength and as such the screen has to be completely removed and re-bonded back in place.Guess what? Yes they broke it.New screen fitted next day.No more leaks although they were a bit enthusiatic with the black bonding compound.
