Loads of previous owners doesn't bother me.

The first thing most people do when they buy a second hand bike is service it.

I bought a Clio 182 Trophy which was about 18 months old, I think I was the 5th owner. Number of owners has never put me off though.

When I sold my Megane R26, which I was the 2nd owner of, I had one guy call up and ask how many owners it had had, when I told him I was the 2nd he said it wasn't the car for him then?! It was about 3 years old at that point.

My LC has has had 17 owners but it doesnt look to shabby nowadays.

These bikes where many peoples first “big” bikes and got passed on within a year or two after passing the test.

I was seeking an Alfa shed for £400, and one but claimed to be out of that it had five owners in 15 years... The state of the thing wasn't the last bit important to him.

It's a pretty thing in a weird sort of way - about 2 miles away from me...must resist!

I had a Triumph Daytona 955 which had 13 previous owners, it was immaculate



I'm guessing that like me the majority of its owners found its riding position a bit uncompromising and sold it after a few months.

I also have a 14 previous owner Jag XJ6 and that too is in really good mechanical condition with stacks of history, so lots of former keepers doesn't bother me too much, as long as the majority of them cared for the bike/car.
