evening folks, im looking for some buying advice, i am currently driving an e46 bmw 320d estate, its got the sports pack and is quite a nice car appart from the knackered automatic gearbox a replacement for this is more than i paid for the car so its got to go.
so ive got 5-6k to spend, im looking for a sporty estate that is reliable, economical and ive got no idea what to get.

any advice and suggestions are welcome.

How many miles do you do a year? What do you consider decent economy?

Firstly none of these will be particularly sporty but they will have the sport kit on like your previous car.

cheers for that ZX10R im looking for at least 35MPG average, i do less than 10k miles per year, i want somthing with some street cred you know?

Doing less than 10k on modern diesels with DPF's EGR's etc will not lead to a positive outcome on your wallet overall if you can live with 25-30mpg then that's a more realistic target when looking at automatic petrol estates with your budget.

I'd say realistically you'll have to at least double your budget.

Petrol cars only need to be Euro 4 for ULEZ. So most/all of the petrols posted above should be fine.
