Hi guys,

Total newbie to forums etc...

At the end of this year i'll finally be off minimum wage and be receiving a very nice pay increase, and to celebrate i will be buying an Evo VI GSR (still a while to go yet, but im getting excited, sue me.) I'm just wondering if you guys had any recommendations for an importer? So far i'm thinking NewEra Imports as i've heard good things, but i've been a little disheartened after reading a horror story recently of a guy handing over 16k and not receiving the car, company not responding to calls/emails etc.

Obviously just one guy saying he's had a bad experience doesn't mean anything, but their website doesn't appear very professional either and i'm just after a bit of reassurance of their reputation really.

Has anyone on here had any dealings with them when buying cars? are they trustworthy and import the best examples as the website says or are there better ones out there?

Thanks in advance guys,

Sincerely,

The Newb

A friend of mine looked into these last year and a lot of very dodgy importers about. He ended up buying through Hurst cars https://www.hurstcars.co.uk/ who have been great and lived up to the reputation they have.

They are predominately a Subaru importer but do have Evo's come through quite regularly.

Also speak to Litchfield they have some good contacts & can also import a car or may know of one that they've previously imported & is for sale.

Worth checking out Torque GT

https://www.torque-gt.co.uk/

They offer a full Auction to Registration Service and are highly recommended.

Thanks all for the replies, ive emailed all suggestions and torque gt & hurst gave a really detailed and quick response, their websites also look far more genuine so by the looks of things it’ll be one of these when the time comes. Really appreciate your input guys, thanks
