E92 325d Buying Guide

Hi all,
Selling my R53 Jcw and looking at getting a 325d.
Should high mileage put me off? As the majority of the ones in my budget are at 150k miles, what should be done to it and checked if looking at a high miler? And is general maintenance expensive? (Keep getting told to stay away by family as the maintenance is very dear)
There is a really nice spec'd one but is on 200k I think that is a little too far!
