I live on the border of Biggin Hill and Tasfield so regularly see some fairly interesting things, however yesterday was something I'd not seen before.

A smallish aircraft, probably Beechcraft/Cessna/Piper size, 4 seat kind of arrangement perhaps. However it had an unusual tail fin, maybe an X or a V shape? (I only caught a quick glimpse as it was taxiing) but more unusually it had what appeared to be a small jet engine on the cabin roof towards the rear?

Any ideas?

Oh great. Another appallingly slow aircraft playing at big boy levels.

I think you might be safe. WikiP suggests max 280. You might see it manage to crawl past a Dash 8.

Funky looking little machine though.

They’re slower than the Dash!

FL310 is their max now for Gen 2.

Very cool design.

I’m guessing not many will come to the UK, it seems to be aimed at yank millionaires who fancy flying themselves around.

How do you find that stuff out - is it as simple as FlightRadar or are there better ones?

I googled the registration, I think the info was on FlightAware.

I learned to fly at Biggin, there was almost always some interesting aircraft coming in or going out when I was having lessons.

Pah, unusual Aircraft on PH?

I'm pretty much sure that someone here will somehow be able to tell you the aircraft model from a pic of a screw smile

As I said to Mrs Tiga last night, a vague description of something I saw for about 3 seconds while driving and within 10 posts we had the model, call sign, picture, landing time and takeoff and landing destinations!
