Hi All,

On my 07 335i E93 the water pump died at 61k and I got it replaced through my BMW warranty.

At 61.7k miles the car went in for boost solenoids under warranty and they informed me on a test run the water pump crapped out and they are also replacing that.

On 62.4k miles now and the water pump has gone again.

I could A: get it replaced under warranty as that what its for and stay quiet B: Kick up a bit of a fuss as thats unacceptable?

Im a s*** happens kind of person but then at the same time I am a bit miffed that this will be the 3rd pump and the last 2 only lasted <1k miles.

Not sure how to proceed and would be interesting to hear your views on it?

If they were all done at the same garage, surely they should be taking the reins on this?

I would be speaking to the service manager to get it investigated further.

As long as they refilled the new pumps correctly and with the correct concentration of coolant and type then I seriously doubt all these pumps have failed within a couple of thousan ld miles of one another. Surely it’s going to be a fault elsewhere- they can get problems on the plug connection and wiring .

Let them know that it’s already had a few pumps and give them the opportunity to look into it properly because if you just let them fit another pump chances are you will be in the same situation in a few miles time

Its always been done at BMW Harold Wood.

I just think they are a bit inept tbh, I changed my shifter to a DCT style one - Just the shifter.

Tried to invalidate my warranty claiming I had put in an aftermarket gearbox.

Will take it to them and speak with the service manager then.
