Does anyone have any experience with those sit/stand desk adjusters?

I've been on slimming world, 10kg+ lost this year (and plenty more where that came from). My cross trainer sits in the office (and currently used daily), I'm itching to buy something else, a stepper, treadmill, rower, bike or whatever.

But I spend the rest of my daytimes almost horizontal in my office chair at my desk. I could make something terrible out of wood or old books, but the adjustment between sitting and standing I imagine harder to replicate.

If anyone uses or has used one, recommendations very welcome. Happy to spend sensible money for the 'right' product.

I used to have a height adjustable desk which meant you could stand up at it. Was excellent and would recommend one. Wish I had one at current job.

I use the Ikea bekant standing desk, found one second hand in great condition for a good price. Been using it for over a year now and love it. I only find I sit at it maybe once or twice a month now and find it much easier to focus on work (and PH, clearly...). Having a good rug underfoot helps too i find, and a heated mat if the weather is a tad chilly.

I have one too but bought it new. The good thing is you can just buy the stand bit and put you're own top on it as I did. Not cheap but my back was radged from bad computer posture. I stand from 0730 to 1130, sit for an hour and then see how much of the rest of the day I can stand.

+1 for the Ikea ones - I have one at work, though I probably don't use it in the standing position as often as I should!

I’ve an adjustable height desk in work and it’s the best gizmo for the office I’ve ever bought.
No more slouching over, or get aching backside from sitting too long.

I’ve even modified a treadmill and exercise bike to fit under it!

I've just set up a yo-yodesk go2 on my desk at work - on the face of it a nice compromise of either a standing or either a sitting desk.

Reasonably happy with it so far (but the monitor clamps are a bit loose and need a bit of force to clamp tight enough to stop moving though).

As an update, I went for one of the contraptions that sits on an existing desk with a lever to move up and down. I really like the standing position but my typing speed has suffered somewhat (as I rest my wrists apparently). The new sitting position is strange at the moment. If I start spending more of the day standing, I might invest in something fancier.
