I want to copy a number of photographic transparencies, and will only have access to them for a couple of hours. Is there an easy way to do this? Ideally, an Android app, but I do have a DSLR if that helps.

Unless it's going to be a regular thing, Snappy Snaps provides this service. Not sure if you this can be done while you wait though.

If you need a decent usable copy of it then you’ll need to either use a suitable scanner or scanning service. Using a dslr is possibly but you’d need a proper setup to do so.

That's what I thought. frown I have a decent scanner, but it and the slides won't be in the same place at the same time

Thanks anyway.

This Android app will turn your smartphone screen into a light box for viewing the slides.

Maybe you can rig up your DSLR to then take a picture of the backlit slides?

I was worried that without a backlight, they'll be too dark.
