Corporate IT Goods Suppliers
Discussion
Hi All,
I've been using MicroWarehouse for over five years now, and have had the same account managers through many different companies, allowing me to have a familiar ordering style and easy administration.
Have never had a problem, quick delivery and good prices, but since they've been brought out/merged with PC World, they've rapidly gone downhill as many of these things do.
I'm looking for an alternative supplier who is able to give the way I like to work - a simple number to phone (the same account manager each time), easy ordering and delievry, and easy administration for the bean-counters.
Has anyone got any suggestions - I've heard good things of EBuyer, but they don't do accounts which is a major problem...
Anyone?

I used these people for a number of years in a previous life;

I didn't choose them, but I never had any problems with them, and they certainly met your requirements - if I called with an order before 10am they'd have it on-site by lunchtime and worry about the paperwork later.

Me too, for odds and sods. The last year I was actually buying stuff (2001) I spent some £2M with them.

I've been told however, that they have been swallowed up by the same company that took Microwarehouse - PC World - so same thing I expect...

Almost certainly. I buy stuff from PC World on an "all else fails" basis, but certainly wouldn't buy corporately from them.
I use totalcomputers.co.uk - cant say i ever look at their website but just ring them direct - always speak to the same chap and order over the phone non of this faxing b**lox and it comes next day easy peasy. will not deal with any supplier who has telephone menus and requires faxing.
give em a ring and speak to Alun Jones ( 01604 780221 ) - cheaper than misco normally

I've only used them for personal purchases and with no hitches (except they don't like cahoot's Webcard).
I know they do "managed accounts" and indicate a requirement to spend around £1k a month but I'd be interested if anyone has had experience of them in anything other than personal purchases.
