'don't think that Chaz will feature.
Rea and Haslam, yep. Alvaro ... will the duke/he be able to preserve tyres? PI's an "odd" race, anyway
Similar question regarding Sykes. But as we all know, anything can happen.
It's been a long winter.
I booked flights for Portimao last night, so as long as it's not sewn up by then, all's good.

Supersport should be a good bunfight with the pit stops.Supersport needing to do pit stop/10laps max.

On the management thing, Bridgepoint capital (that people that own Dorna) sold Dorna to it's self to 2.5 billion Euros. So Dorna is still is rude health. Don't expect WSBK to change any time soon.
Can't see Haslam getting remotely near Rea to be honest, has never done much in SBK despite good rides, other than first few years.
It's Rea's to lose as usual. Alvaro might shake him up a but as will Chaz, but no-one else will even get close to the worlds most unambitious champion!! Just stay there a bit more mate, take your money and run

I really don't expect Haslam to be pushing Rea when he has to adapt to riding with electronics again. Happy to be proven wrong.
Dark horse might be Sykes on the new BMW.
Zarco, I wouldn't worry fella, most of the plonkers on here read the username first and then ignore 90% of what is written, I love it, makes me laugh
Any guy who stays in series for the most money and to win nothing championships for me is unambitious, especially if he dominates. UNless you dominate in MotoGP of course.
Mladin was the same in AMA, he stayed there coz he got paid a fortune, and won easily as the series suited him, as soon as got spanked by Spies for a few years he retired.
Rea should have moved to GP a couple of years ago, his dollar value was high, yes he might have had to ride a poor bike for a year, but push hard enough and impress and you really think Abraham, Syarin, Redding, Espig et all would be in rides if a guy as good as Rea was out there beating them on an older bike?
I certainly don't
Easy money for him, no ambition, other than to beat records Fogy set 20 years ago with 4 times as many equal competitors!
Next thing people will be saying Cal is miles better which is why he has won GP races and been in that series for years......

The only way to sort out rider talent is to have a scrutinised one make series.all bikes equal 100%. There’s no doubting Marquez has talent and Rossi with 9 championships.Opinions are just that - subjective etc.... but Rea is definitely not unambitious. In my opinion anyway. I’d like to see Rea on a Motogp bike, but that ship has sailed.

Winning by 15 seconds is a joke to be honest.
I know the bike is good, but that really makes a mockery of this series and it's been doing a fine job of that without anyone like this for years

Surely having someone competitive in the series like Bautista would eradicate that problem, no?
Álvaro is class rider, no doubt of that. DORNA needed to freshen up the series and give Rea some competition for the title, and I think it's fair to say he looks like he's got some.
This is just the start of the development for the V4R as well, the machine up colse is a thing of beauty and the detail on it is much more akin to GP machinery.

I think Philip Island will be another odd weekend, so many unusual wins here, Eugene Laverty has won in PI in two consecutive years on Aprilia and Suzuki and managed only 1 other podium (3rd) on the Suzuki that year. Every other Ducati V4 was struggling with front tyre grip, maybe it's similar to the feel Alvaro had with the MotoGP bike's tyres, that belief it's going to stick and he's using that confidence right now at a circuit he enjoys and goes well at. I don't think it will be the same at other circuits but I do think it will be a multi-rider championship battle this year.

I think it comes down to whether Rea was ever offered a ride with one of the top 3 factory teams in motogp. If not why would you swap a championship winning team in one series to be in a mid pack team with almost no chance of winning in another?
