ACO have announced Franz Ferdinand as main act on the Saturday night if anyone interested.

Personally I would prefer it on the Friday like Jamiroquai last year, as I managed to catch most of it after getting back from town smile

Friday would have been preferred but I suspect they went with Saturday to keep the crowd down. A lot of people couldn’t get into Jamiroquai last year.

Texas was far better

I missed both tt in the Hat and Texas last year. Loads of people were being turned away from Jamiroquai gig.

Bit confused about everyone saying they couldn't watch Jamiroquai last year as it was too busy? We just wandered up to it from the back after it had started and watched it with no problem. Guessing if you were coming over the bridge or from the front gate it was a bit busier? We came out the back gate of Tertre Rouge camping. If you get turned away another year, try going out main gate and coming in via red parking, across the pedestrian bridge over ring road.

Yes it was the dunlop bridge that was closed, as plenty of idiots just stood on the steps to try and get a better view.

From tertre rouge campsite you could just walk out of the back gate and watch although you were not exactly near the front of the stage

Heard most of Jamiroquai from the Campsite at Tertre Rouge last year. Actually sounded a lot better than I thought.
Couldn't hear any of the music from the site in 2017.

Might try and make it to Franz Ferdinand this year.
Seen them a few times now at Festivals and Gigs, and they usually put on a good show.

I saw them at Trafalgar Square a while ago and they are quite entertaining. They did end up off the stage and in the fountains

Last year was the first time there’s been a Friday concert as far as I can remember, and it was supposed to be a separate paid-for event, but they failed to shift enough tickets, I’d guess there’ll be nothing on.

Are these guys on at 10pm or 8pm? I’ve seen a schedule saying 10pm with “Dissident” at 8pm.

Gutted I'm missing FF. I saw them at Glastonbury and they were pretty good. If anyone does go and feels like uploading any of it to YouTube that would be much appreciated!

I didn't bother going to see FF, I have never really seen the point if the race is on, which is what most folks go to Le Mans for (although drinking comes a very close second). Who were the other acts that were on Thursday/Friday? I saw one act playing but the area in front was closed so there was nobody watching!

Same. I didn’t bother going in the end. It should be on Friday night not Saturday, like last year. I bet the crowd was tiny.

It’ was surprisingly busy, busier than Jamiroquai.

Franz Ferdinand were also very good. Defo glad I made the effort.
