Took the boy down at the weekend, being local it had been on my list now that Concorde had a proper home.

A very nice few hours mooching about. Well laid out and some interesting local history on show.

Every 30 minutes or so there is a nice display projected onto the side of Concorde and it so nice to get properly up close.

The scaffold towers are there as they are reinstating the hydraulic system so they can droop the nose and visor again. Should be done by April.

Oh and if you're hungry the cafe is excellent, very large portions at reasonable prices.

Well worth a visit if passing and the ticket gives you unlimited visits for a year.

Will be going back again, probably on my own so I can have a proper read of everything...the lad has the concentration span of a nat...unless he's playing Minecraft lol.

I took the wife and kids last week, we’d been before but my wife hadn’t and she said exactly the same - would be great without the kids! laugh

Scaffolding wasn’t in place last week, Will go back to see dropped nose!

We went last summer but haven't been back on our annual ticket yet. It did feel a bit 'corporate' to me, very much like they had more money to put it together than they actually needed.

In contrast we go back to the Fleet Air Arm Museum every two months or so on our ticket (another place that gives you 12 months of entry), and my 4 year old would actually move in to the Boscombe Down Aviation Collection if he could...

They both look great, they're not even that far away from each other.

Another vote for Boscombe Down... kids loved it... even my daughter who has never shown the slightest interest in aeroplanes! Great fun for everyone to play 'pilot'....
