Dairy and Gluten free desert suggestions?
Discussion
So many options! I’m both gluten and dairy intolerant (and eggs and yeast. My life’s one long party!)
Fruit crumble is the easy answer. The others are more complex.
I’d advise having a look at Pinterest. It’s beilliant for this sort of thing!
Such as this if you use gluten free flour - https://pin.it/5ytay2ox5sdwvr
This one is bloody delicious - https://pin.it/bfkrvymrwwmka2
Especially when teamed with this - https://pin.it/hqaxovyq5uavqf

Mrs Teddy Lop here. I can personally vouch for this amazing mousse, made with dark chocolate. Another good one is to buy some gluten and dairy free biscuits (there'll be several in any good free from section in your supermarket) and some dairy free "cream cheese", often coconut based, and knock up some no-bake mini cheesecakes. I like to flavour the "cheese" with amaretto or limoncello.
For an easy option, Booja Booja do fantastic gluten and dairy free fancy chocolates. Almond based cakes with vegan margarine instead of butter can also work. Plenty of options.

Check whether the guest is genuinely dairy free or just lactose free. Lactofree milk is just like normal milk, so that opens up a world of custardy possibilities.
Otherwise - interesting recipe for a vegan cheesecake here. Might be worth trying in advance though to check it's not god-awful. https://www.bakerita.com/no-bake-layered-blueberry... You could use gluten free Hobnobs as the base.
Or what about an apple crumble, with a topping made from GF flour and Quaker oats which are fine for coeliacs, served with Ben and Jerrys dairy free ice cream?
