A recent Facebook post has reminded me that, when I was 7 years old in 1992, I was obsessed with Thunderbirds. They had recently started showing it on TV again and my dad, who had been about 11 or 12 when it was first shown, suggested I watch it. Naturally I was hooked straight away. And from then on, it became everything I was obsessed with, as only a child can be.

I had the toys, but not Tracy Island as frustratingly my birthday was February and the toy wasn't out in time I don't think, or I just didn't get it.. either way, I had all the vehicles, I had posters, I had books, I had the hat and sash part of the outfit, I had the duvet cover set... I was the coolest 7 year old there could be.

How about you guys?

Transformers, Thundercats, Centurions and M.A.S.K!

To be fair I'd be well up for them making a live action movie of the series, think with the CGI available now it would look great. Also the toys were awesome!

Formula 1. Didn't miss a race race in 1995 either live or taped. Used to re-watch the tapes on rainy days.

Did you not watch Blue Peter? I thought every kid in 1992 made the Blue Peter Tracy Island!

I've asked my Dad something many times. I was 7 in 1966, and yet have absolutely no recollection of the World Cup. We didn't have a telly, but you would have thought I'd have some memories of it? All he can think of it we were at my Grandad's caravan, which had no communication with the outside world! hehe

Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin and the Moon landing. Sitting on the floor in assembly at junior school mesmerised, watching it all unfold in black and white on the school telly, on a wheeled trolley.
