I am having a mare trying to remove the master cylinder, all undone exept cant work out how to remove the link rod so I can take out the pin connecting the push rod into the diaphram. This seems impossible as trying to work under the dash.
Any help will be appreciated.
Cheers

I don't know that car. Is the master cylinder pushrod actually attached to the servo? On cars I'm used to the master cylinder is only secured by the nuts holding it to the servo and just pulls out of the servo once the nuts have been removed.

Sorry for the delay I have not been allowed to post due to some issues at Piston Heads.
There is an air leak in the diaphram, as its a left hand drive car they have fitted a 1 inch rod fixed to the braks and with a bizarre link system to work the servo etc...
there is no way I can find to access the collet that fixes the push rod from this bar, everything else is removed and mobile but cant get the bloody thing out.
this is my daughters car and other than this its a good car.
Got to be sorted now as MOT due.
if you havent seen the set up its very difficult to explain but it must have been designed at 4pm on a Friday!!!!
Cheers

Can you take the whole servo / mc assembly off? Typically that's just a clevis pin at the top of the pedal, and four nuts in the footwell.

Sorry about these delays I keep getting stopped from posting!!

all of the fixing nuts have been removed the probled is the servo/master cylinder is on the passenger side and linked from the drivers brake pedal with a 1 inch round bar, with supporting framework. this has the effect of obscuring the clevis pin making it impossoble to get at.
I have tried to remove the bar and framework but the bar has some kind of collet holding it in place I have tried everything I can think of and quite frankly I am stumped.

I can't visualise it. Is it the sort of thing you could explain with a few pictures?

I have tried to take some photos under the dash but space is so limited pictures dont make any sense,
I have copied what the lonk bar actually looks like.
The clevis is hidden within this and thats what I need to try to work out how to remove so I can accdess the clevis and take out the whole unit which is fully unbolted but held in place with the push rod clevis.

Hope this is clearer tahn mud!!
