1983 911 Original Price (Help Settle A Bet :-)
Discussion
I think it was low £20k(ish) - there were two versions, the non-spoilered model and the slightly more expensive SE (with spoilers, fuchs wheels and sports suspension).
Other options were minimal, so made little difference to list prices.
In those days they were only sold in small numbers and there was high inflation, so prices did rise to nearer £40k by the time the final 3.2 Carreras were being sold in 1989.

Hi,
Does anyone know the original price of a 911 SC 3.2 back in 1983.
I know it depends on spec etc, but any guideline on the price?
One friend thinks £20,000 and another is convinced it would have been over £50,000?
Thanks in advance for your help :-)

Autosport road test 14.07.83 of 911SC Cabriolet with Sport Equipment i.e. 16" wheels, rear spoiler etc gives price of cabriolet as £23,549, £1,645 (quoted) more than the similarly equipped coupe (so £21,904).
The standard car i.e. 15" wheels, no spoiler cost £21,549 for the cabriolet.
